My, such a beautiful weapon! I love the elegant form, massive amount of detail and how nicely you painted it! It it was my weapon I probably would not dare using it, because it just looks so pretty I'd be afraid to damage it. :')
That's probably the biggest difference between Cosplay props and LARP armoury. XD In cosplay vision goes first at the cost of durability, in LARP it's rather the other way round - you managed to combine both aspects perfectly then.
Very kind thank you. Thats what I have been trying for over the last 15yrs. The materials have so much over recent years that the reality is almost matching up with my visions
I haven't got much experience yet, but I heard funny stories about duct-tape-swords and such. Today the weapons even look very realistic from a certain distance! It's amazing.
hey, I'm looking to make some good larp weapons. you have any suggestions to where I can get materials like these? and what did you use to make the mould out of?
If you where in england I could help you but I don`t know where you can get the products in the US. I use a foam called plastizote for the main bodies of weapons and shields. See if you can find a supplier of Smooth-on products as they are the main polyurathanes I use and they are a US company. My moulds are a combanation is silicone and resin depending on the complexity of the object being moulded.
